Certainly. By integrating a double-glazed sliding wall system into a louvred canopy, a fully enclosable, weather-resistant outdoor space can be created. The double-glazed sliding wall system can also be installed in a wooden veranda or a glass conservatory. All glass systems are bespoke and can be fully tailored to specific requirements.
- Cleaning the glass and the frame:
Clean both the glass panels and the frame using pure osmosis water or a mild cleaning agent. - Keeping the rails clean:
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt from between the guide rails. Do not forget the top rail. If your sliding glass system is installed in a canopy near the beach or in another sandy environment, first brush excess sand out of the rails using a broom and dustpan (use a brush for the top rail as well). Then rinse the rails with a garden hose. Keeping the rails clean ensures smoother operation — especially in coastal areas — and helps to extend the system’s lifespan.
BOTEIN CORNELS® Glass is a double-glazed sliding system with an aluminium frame. Thanks to the double glazing, increased comfort is achieved when the walls and roof of the canopy are closed. Please note that, in a canopy, the use of patio heating is still required on colder days to maintain warmth.
When the double-glazed sliding walls are installed in a structural conservatory, heat will remain in the space for longer once the heating has been switched off.
When selecting a sliding glass system, the location should also be taken into account. If the canopy is located on the beach or in another sandy environment, additional attention to maintenance is required. Please refer to the previous Q&A for further information on maintenance.
